From Speed to Gravity – how Sandra Bullock has transformed throughout her career.



Sandra Annette Bullock was born on 26th July 1964 in Arlington, Virginia. In the year that Sandra hit the big 5-0 we look back on the career of this inspirational role model. Sandra’s career hit the big time in the nineties when she was cast in the romantic comedy While you were sleeping. She followed this by starring in the box office smash hit Speed alongside Keanu Reeves. Speed took £350 million from worldwide box offices and remains her second most lucrative film to date. Second of course to Sandra’s starring role in Gravity . A movie that has been universally critically acclaimed and bagged her a Golden Globe, Academy Award, a Bafta and a Screen Actors Guild award.

It comes as no surprise that following the release of Gravity, Bullock was on the top of the Forbes 2014 list of highest earning actresses clocking in an estimated 51 million dollars in one year.

That being said over the years Sandra has donated millions of her earnings to charity resulting in being inducted into the Warren Easton hall of fame for her donations to charities. Sandra, widely known as ‘America’s Sweetheart’ has come a long way since the likes of Miss Congeniality, Two Weeks Notice and The Lake House and we can’t wait to watch what she stars in next.
