PROJECT RUNWAY Mercedes Benz Fashion Week New York Spring 2015



Wildly popular and successful American reality TV show Project Runway is focused on fashion design, hosted by Heidi Klum and is in its 13th season. The premise of the show is that contestants compete with one another to create the best clothes, all while being constrained in time, material and theme. Each week, the designs are judged and one (or sometimes more) designer goes home. Toward the end of the show, only a few finalists remain, and these designers must prepare a complete fashion collection for New York Fashion Week. It is from this collection that a winner will be chosen.

The 13th season of Project Runway was a much-anticipated Finale Show presentation at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2015, which was held at the Lincoln Center. The work of the remaining nine designers was on show, including Emily Payne, Korina Emmerich, Sandhya Garg, Alexander Knox, Fäde Zu Grau, Amanda Valentine, Sean Kelly, Char Glover and Kini Zamora. One of the highlights of the show was Project Runway’s mentor Tim Gunn’s ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. He was nominated by Heidi Klum, who was happy to do the honors. Klum and fellow judges Nina García, Emmy Rossum and Zac Posen also took a stroll down the runway.
