Martin Grant Spring Summer 2014
Silhouettes range from leaner proportions to leveled fabrics that create volume. Trench coat paired with a dress that ballooned out from the waist down, elegantly cut jumpsuit with crisscross straps at the neckline, black tulle skirts that blossomed on top of crinoline and our favorite, an asymmetrical belted long dress that combines the soft texture of the sheer skirt with a firm bodice.
The retro influence was clearly visible through the ample volume from jackets and skirts, peplum-cut dresses, barely-there shorts, wide-leg trousers and drop-waist frocks. The modern twist is interpreted through the polished look in clean-cut lines and details. The color scheme definitely complemented every looked and certainly showed off one solid and focused collection.
It was a well-thought collection responding to his clients’ needs. A wide range of option is present in his designs from the traditional look to skin-exposed dresses. We love how the collection offers versatile looks that may be used from day wear to evening wear. His sophisticated and elegant style resonated well through his Spring 2014 looks. We definitely see a lot of women who would want to wear this!
