NEW YORK, NY — Socially responsible brand, VOZ, explores how elegance and empathy go hand-in-hand in their Spring Summer 2014 collection; featuring hand-made artwork from Mapuche, Aymara, and Northern Indian weavers. Experience the heart of Southern Chile and the beauty of the Pacific coastline through geometric themes and delicate textiles. Creative Director, Jasmine Aarons, draws from natural elements featuring illustrious gray hues contrasted with delicate ivory. “For our first Spring Summer collection, we wanted to return to the powerful coast of our origins,” explains Aarons. “There is nothing more extraordinary than plunging into the Pacific Ocean — a majestic source of life. We’ve brought the breathtaking winds and pebbled beaches into our designs.” This collection is crafted from a range of soft, natural, and luxurious fabrics such as linens, cottons, and artisanally dyed silks hand loomed into Mapuche textiles of soft Andean cotton and baby alpaca. VOZ’s SS14 runway show took place on September 12th at noon at Eyebeam. Makeup was sponsored by Chico Mitsui for MAKE Cosmetics and hair was sponsored by Cesar Ramirez for Davines, Celebrity Hairstylist and Creative Director at Dop Dop Salon. Accessory sponsors included jewelry by Lisa Linhardt, shoes by Cris de la Coeur, and Worth & Worth Hats by Orlando Palacios.
