Emilio Pucci releases Spring-Summer campaign featuring Amber Valletta
Italian luxury fashion label Emilio Pucci has launched its Spring-Summer campaign which will debut in magazines and online from February 2013 worldwide. Established by the eponymous Italian aristocrat, figher pilot and designer in 1947, Emilio Pucci has a longstanding reputation for luxury prints, gowns and eveningwear.
Shot at the luxurious Villa d'Este in Rome, photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott explore the Palazzo gardens with model and actress Amber Valletta in a series of looks from the brand's 2013 Spring/Summer collection.
The location was specially chosen for its classical charms: "the quintessentially Italianate setting offsets and complements the Indochinese opulence and graceful sensuality" of the latest collection according to a statement from Pucci.
Valletta became a global fashion star in the 1990s modelling for brands including Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein and Versace. She then moved onto Hollywood, starring alongside Will Smith in "Hitch" and Jackie Chan in "The Spy Next Door." The Arizona-born beauty has recently reemerged in the latest advertising campaign for Prada.
Appointed in 2008, Pucci's Norwegian-American creative director Peter Dundas was previously head designer at Roberto Cavalli and Emmanuel Ungaro labels, and worked alongside Jean Paul Gaultier as his design assistant for eight years.
