Kate Moss stars in new Givenchy campaign
Kate Moss has appeared for the first time ever in advertising visuals for famous French brand Givenchy.
With her hair down around her shoulders, and her eyes covered with large metallic clip-on sunglasses, Kate Moss wears clothes from Riccardo Tisci's Spring-Summer 2013 prêt-à-porter collection for Givenchy in new images released by the brand.
While Kate shows off the brand's new ruffled look, the menswear is worn by Spanish matador Jose Maria Manzanares and New York City-based artist Jared Buckhiester, famed for his grotesque yet understated pencil drawings and black-and-white photography.
The shoot, produced and shot by Mert & Marcus and Riccardo Tisco was styled by another creative dream team: ex-Vogue Paris editor Carine Roitfeld and superstylist Katy England.
Tisci, Givenchy's energetic creative director, explained the ideas behind the campaign in a statement: "They are people I love and who love me. It's about family. Something that is difficult to find in today's world. It's about real people, only taking the best of their personalities, with no effort."
Keeping up the family spirit, Italian model Mariacarla Boscono also features in the shoot with her four-month-old daughter, Marialucas. "[There is] something very strong that embraces the love I feel for my daughter, so special and overwhelming that words would not be enough...and the concept of family that ties my soul with that of Riccardo, which stands in my life as something very, very special," she told Style.com.
Showing no sign of slowing down, 38-year-old Moss has recently appeared in new campaigns for shoe designer Stuart Weitzman and the Italian fashion powerhouse Versace. In June 2012, Forbes Magazine estimated Moss's yearly earnings to have hit $9.2 million between May 2011 and May 2012, a figure topped only by Brazilian model Gisele Bündchen.
Givenchy has also released a 'making-of' video exploring the shoot available on their YouTube channel at http://youtu.be/CCnQ5GHcaSo.
