Good Grace! i-D mag goes Coddington crazy with illustration competition Presented by Fashion One

Famous style magazine i-D has launched a competition to hunt for new illustration talent to promote famed style editor and Vogue Creative Director Grace Coddington.

i-D magazine has set a challenge for young creatives, professional illustrators, and idle doodlers alike, and it's a simple one: draw Grace Coddington.

The competition celebrates Grace: A Memoir, Coddington's just-released autobiography, which explores her 50 years in fashion, first as a model, then writer, and now as Creative Director for American Vogue.

The 71-year-old style fanatic collaborated on the book with Style Director of Vanity Fair Michael Roberts, who is also an illustrator, and was previously style director at the New Yorker, in a deal which was reported by ELLE UK to be worth $1.2m.

Roberts has also produced an exclusive line of t-shirts covered in fashionista illustrations called ONETSHIRT at Browns. The shirts ($120) feature Coddington alongside other style icons including Miuccia Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, and Carine Roitfeld.

Famed fashion photographer Arthur Elgort also shot Coddington for the cover of i-D's latest issue. Read i-D's interview with Michael Roberts here and enter the competition before December 5 for a chance to win a Grace Coddington T-shirt from Browns and a copy of her book.
