Fashion One features Chloe Jade Green expands shoe line, adds scarves and jewelry
The daughter of Topshop owner Philip Green has launched a new winter line of shoes and added spiky metal accessories and soft silk scarves to her range, on sale in Selfridges.
London store Selfridges might already contain the world's largest 'shoe gallery', but there's certainly room for more, as Chloe Green has found out.
The CJG collection balances rather feminine and ladylike shapes, but isn't scared of throwing in some rock chick attitude. Luxury ballerina flats, biker boots, and towering heels sit alongside the new Selfridges exclusive additions of printed silk scarves and sharp-edged metallic jewelry.
In a pun on the family name, Green has riffed on the Louboutin trademark trend for one-color undersides, giving her own shoes a uniformly green sole. The daughter of Sir Philip Green, boss of Arcadia group and owner of Topshop, Topman and Miss Selfridge brands among others, Chloe launched her first shoes at an event in London in May.
"I looked in my shoe wardrobe and designed shoes I felt were missing in the market place. I thought there was a gap in the market for a premium but still high street footwear range. My inspiration came from my girlfriends and my shoe needs, comfort was key but I also wanted my collection to feature high designs," announced Green.
CJG launches November 19 and is available at Topshop.com and Selfridges online. Male footwear fans need not feel left out either: this month the department store increased its men's shoe section to 3,000 different styles and a made-to-measure salon allows luxury-loving shoppers to create bespoke Tom Ford boots for £10,000 (US $15,000).
